• I can see a paper wasp nest attached to the overhang of my house, or on a tree.  What should I do?

  If you can see the nest you can try to remove it yourself by spraying it and then enclosing the nest in a plastic bag before removing it.  Small visible nests are easily sprayed with a domestic chemical and removed.  If the nest is large, you may want to contact a professional.
   

• I can see wasps or hornets entering a hole, on the outside of my house.  Is there anything I can do myself about this?

  An application of a dust is the correct way to treat a POE. Spraying a liquid or foam product into a POE will just aggravate the situation but will not eliminate it. Also, never plug a POE when the area is active as this can cause the wasps or hornets to chew their way into your home.
   

• I can hear sounds in my attic.  What could it be?

  If you hear scratching sounds in the attics or between the walls, most likely they are mice. You can use traps or poison or call York Pest Control and we will do the job for you.
   
  Loud thumping, jumping or heavy sounds could be wildlife - squirrels, chipmunks, or raccoons - and we can recommend a company that specializes in wildlife for this problem.
