HOW TO GET RID OF RATS
Rats are larger rodents, usually ranging between 15cm and 18cm (7" and 10") in length, and have coat colours ranging from grey to brown. Their droppings are large and rod-shaped. They live in walls and below floors, and will damage both property and food. Rats are nocturnal, and can often be detected by their nighttime noises. The females bear between 3 and 8 litters per year, with each litter usually containing 7 or 8 young.
Rats are best controlled with the use of poison baits, mechanical devices, or a combination of the two.
